Welcome Office Friuli Venezia Giulia

Helpful services for mobile students and researchers

Why study and train in FVG?

Welcome Office FVG, jointly developed by the scientific and academic institutions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, aims at offering a wide range of helpful services and useful information about the arrival and stay in the Region through this website and two infopoints in Trieste and Udine. It addresses mobile students and researchers coming from all over the world.

The main goal of Welcome Office FVG is to manage a network of joint services targeted to researchers and students with particular attention to those coming from EU Member States, EEA and Third countries.

The service, launched as a pilot scheme in May 2009 with the Welcome Office Trieste, has been extended to the entire territory of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region involving the scientific and academic institutions of Udine.

This initiative aims at offering tailored assistance and helpful information. It informs students and researchers about the formalities to be completed before and after their arrival in the cities of the region with a view to improving their stay in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The services offered by Welcome Office are delivered in collaboration with similar actions and assistance facilities provided by each institution located in the territory.

The initiative has been jointly developed within the CER, the Coordination Network of the National and International Research Centres located in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The idea of setting up an Office focused on welcome services for students and researchers is one of the 4 measures foreseen by International House programme. It is an intersectoral and interdisciplinary programme for improving the mobility of qualified human resources and enhancing the attractiveness of the territory. International House is managed by AREA Science Park Consorzio per l'AREA di ricerca scientifica e tecnologica di Trieste - Multi-sectoral Science and Technology Park.
